SPACE, Aakasha
Space has no shape or form. It is infinite. It is eternal. It surrounds us and sustains us, yet our senses can neither perceive nor define it. Space is the basis of our cosmos, the essence of our being.
In today’s crowded world, the limitless quality of space remains elusive. To most of us, however, it is an essential part of daily life. Space is sacrosanct to us; it is the imperative that defines how we utilise our land, deploy our resources, and live our lives.
Optimising the use of space allows nature to become a seamless part of our lives, and vice versa. With fewer homes per acre, for example, and each home occupying just a traction of the space that surrounds it, it is possible to create an environment that allows breathing space amidst urban sprawl. We get the chance to revive the almost-forgotten tradition of living simply and in harmony with our surroundings.
Smart spatial planning, however, involves more than just downsizing the development footprint. It takes a deep knowledge of advanced technologies, a thorough understanding of sustainability issues, and the ability to accurately analyse impact.
AIR, Vayu
Air has many moods; gentle Zephyr, whispery breeze, furious gale, It chooses its own direction. It knows no boundaries. Each time we breathe in air, we breathe in life.
Imagine a place where fresh ideas breathe new life into urban community living - a place where unifying with nature doesn’t mean sacrificing the conveniences and amenities of modern life. Here, advanced, ecologically viable technologies are used to help conserve resources in a sustainable manner.
From adding greenery to creating low-carbon, emission-free homes from maximising air circulation to exploiting wind power; from using natural cooling devices to employing non-polluting waste-management methods, we do everything in our power to breathe in cleaner, cooler air.
Why bother? Because we care about using resources sensitively, about the intelligent use of technology, and about finding innovative ways to sustain a shared value system.
FIRE, Agni
Fire is all-consuming. It is powerful. It is primal. It is relentless, creating even as it destroys. Fire represents energy end passion.
Energy life’s most powerful force - takes on varied avatars, and can neither be created nor destroyed. Renewable - energy power and the use of alternate energy sources, therefore, are concepts in harmony with the inherent nature of energy itself.
Greeting homes with locally available, low - impact building materials like soil – stabilised blocks, fly ash blocks, natural flooring, and plantation timber, shows a belief in the possibility of preserving the energy cycle for eternity. When we commit to leaving a lower energy footprint, we're realising the promise of solar-, wind- and aqua-power.
And no, these choices do not imply "recreating the past" or "returning to a simpler time"; on the contrary, we're investing in a forward looking, future - compatible lifestyle.
WATER, Jala
Water is the elixir el life. It takes many forms - rain, lake, river, ocean. It charts its own course, overcoming all obstacles with patience and persistence.
The Three Ps of success – planning, perseverance and patience – apply nowhere better than to the endeavor to restore balance and harmony to our lives. That process begins with reclaiming the balance of our natural surroundings, with giving back what we receive.
Take rainwater, for example. Harvesting this precious resource at the micro – as well as the community – level is not only feasible, its easy. Dedicating a fixed percentage of water consumed to recharging the ground water will pay rich dividends in the long run. And using gravity instead of electricity to supply water to individual homes is an energy-free, creative – and above all sensible – way to approach distribution issues.
We believe in actualising innovative ideas like these. We see possibilities where others see challenges. We believe that every little bit counts. We believe that its possible to realise our dreams.
EARTH, Bhoomi
Earth is our planet and our provider. It nurtures. It nourishes. It supports life with its generous bounty. Earth is intrinsic to existence, as we know it.
Some of us still believe that the planet we inhabit is a legacy to be treasured rather than a material possession to do with as we please. That's why we are applying technology to work towards a better future for ourselves and future generations alike.
As a group, we are committed to finding a way to live without disturbing the ecological equilibrium. When we create homes, we make a conscious effort not to destroy the existing terrain. Every tree is preserved, as is local flora and fauna. When dipping into natural resources is inevitable. it is done responsibly, with care being taken to replenish whatever has been taken from nature.
Like you, every member of our community actively seeks to lower our collective impact on the environment as much as possible. Like you, we believe that when it comes to urban development, less is more. And like you, we are committed to the cause of preserving the livability of our planet within the context of a modern lifestyle.
The RareEarth vision is to “Create sustainable living communities and eco-friendly built-environments that conserve through passion and commitment.”
We continuously strive to improve our strengths in green development and design architecture across global markets through strategic partnerships, thus offering a unique integrated development value proposition. What does this mean for you? Your RareEarth home will be built by the best team of architects and project consultants we can assemble; and various ‘green’ products – such as soil/ash bricks, natural stone flooring, solar-powered LED lighting, rain-water harvesting, waste treatment, recycled wood, intelligent home automation systems and more - are integrated from the very beginning.
Our philosophy is built on these questions:
- How can we change urban living patterns for the better?
- How can we blend the wealth of traditional Indian wisdom with modern innovations to create a sustainable ‘new age’ of living?
- How can we help our customers move beyond conventional housing to a new level of comfort and conservation?
- How can we integrate green technologies in a manner that asks for few compromises in lifestyle?
- How can we inspire commitment to these ideals to a broader base than just our customers?
At RareEarth, we’re not just building eco-aware homes and communities. We’re trying to establish a fresh paradigm for modern living.
